Game Mechanics Need Rethinking
If the opponent goes defend... there is no reason for me not to go both attacking.
I think this should be a draw poker game... get 5 cards.. throw away up to 3... that makes your 5 card hand... place the 5 card... minimum 2 in either offense or defense.... dealer fills in the empty slots in both offense and defense.

The character selection makes no difference now, it only affects how your character looks.

Won't reload after I won the battle
I'm back on the main screen after winning but when I clicked on character I'm getting two empty charts and a white circle with a spinning triangle inside as though it is stuck loading.
Otherwise I think I like the game.

Better combat system. Enemies much more powerful than player.
Enemies always tend to take off more than I'm ever to deal at a time and start with more health, making it imbalanced. Should I be leveling up or something?

Game balancing is coming very soon. Right now everyone starts off with very basic weapons, with the ability to upgrade very soon.

to make an ante mechanism:
So far fights are boring because the odd is more important that player's strategy.
the interest in poker is that you bet to win money.If you add an ante mechanism, letting player to choose how important this deal is for him, you could rely on odds for the poker system and the player will play more against it ( and it will be more challenging/rewarding to take an ennemy down on a single all in)

I'm finding it quite addictive now, and get a little thrill when I win.

Bug report - Bookmarking
I can't seem to follow the bookmark. Bookmarking works but I can't follow. I just get an hourglass and facebook freezes.

I did some tweaking on the bookmarks and it seems to be working now. You might have to remove the bookmark and then add it again from the Knaves interface.

Keep the RPG side simple
The battles are shaping up to be good fun. Don't smother them in loads of confusing RPG stuff. Please!

Make fights shorter
"Quick fights" can go on for quite a long time, especially if as a player I always attack when the opponent blocks and block when the opponent attacks.
The uncertain length of each fight means that I can't simply pop in for a fight when I have a minute to spare.

Several performance enhancements have already been made that will speed things up, plus now it is possible to deal damage with any hand of 5 cards.

All the animations have been sped up, the entire game should be a lot snappier now. Performance enhancements will continue as the game grows.

I will change it so the go button should only light up once the player has placed their cards in the play area.

Make the Flash canvas smaller
It's too big for my 1024 x 600 netbook, which is what I mainly use for Facebook. I'm sure I'm not alone in that.

Player stamina bars aren't working.
Right now the payer has a stamina bar (which generally reads 5/5). This is still being balanced and will be activated soon.
